RESPONSIBILITY REPORT

We're so excited to share our Responsibility Report with you.

We've built Kintobe on the belief that kindness is the answer. Kindness to Earth and kindness to People. In our new report you can read all about our commitment to come closer to our vision.

It's important for us to share this information with you, as you are the most important part of Kintobe's journey towards a future that's kinder to Earth and kinder to people.

GOALS IN 2024 AND HOW WE WORKED WITH THEM

KINDNESS CLUB

At the end of 2024, we launched the platform for our Kindness Club and planned our first event (to come in 2025) in order to inspire our community and consumers to spread kindness.

The kindness club will be a small lab where we experiment with ways to grow and unleash the kindness that’s inside us all. The first events in the Kindness Club will be morning kindness meditations.

CO₂ CALCULATION

We aimed to calculate our CO₂ emissions but instead conducted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) on some key bag styles. This marked our first step in quantifying our environmental impact, providing tangible numbers for both us and our consumers. By doing so, we're moving closer to understanding how our practices affect the environment.

PLM SYSTEM

In 2024, we started our collaboration with Delogue, a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

With the help of Delogue, we are now able to collect all material, style, supplier and in 2025 also compliance data into one system. This lowers the risk of human error when it comes to managing and communicating during the product development processes.

DEVELOPING A DATA STRATEGY

In 2024, we focused on exploring and understanding our options in the rapidly changing digital landscape. This involved evaluating our data needs, assessing available platforms, and determining which technologies best fit our requirements. Given the rapid development of new technologies, we've decided to pause and reassess our options for 2025.

MAKING THE MOST OF BROKENAND WORN OUT PRODUCTS

We've been involved in several sustainability projects:

  • CØ78 Reparation Project: Partnering in an EU-funded repair network to create a unified repair platform.
  • Semper Cycle Collaboration: Exploring chemical recycling to convert non-repairable bags into methanol, with tests delayed until mid-2025.
  • Upcycling Project: Collaborating with Agnethe Henriksen to create unique bucket hats from non-repairable bags.

TRANSPARENCY

One of the biggest challenges regarding responsibility is for consumers to navigate and understand information about what they are purchasing.
